Dental Examinations, Digital X-rays, & Cleanings
Digital X-rays
A dental digital X-ray (radiography) system can take a picture of your
teeth, then almost immediately show it to you on a computer monitor while
you are in the dental chair. You no longer have to wait 10 minutes for the
film to develop.
The on-screen picture will look like an
dental X-ray image but a lot bigger and clearer. Your dentist can zoom in
on a single tooth, rotate it, sharpen it and colorize it - all to aid in
your diagnosis.
Cleanings
Routine dental cleanings will help keep
your teeth healthy for a lifetime. Cleanings can also help with the
following:

Fillings, Porcelain Inlays, & Onlays
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Unsightly metal fillings can make an otherwise perfect set of teeth look
unattractive. Now there are fillings specially designed to match the
natural color of the tooth. Directly-bonded, tooth-colored resin
fillings can make a tooth look like new, whether they are used for small
areas of decay or to replace current fillings.
Inlays & Onlays
Dental inlays and onlays are solid fillings used to restore damaged
or decayed teeth. They are often needed when there is not enough healthy
tissue left in the tooth to support a regular filling. (If a tooth is
severely damaged, a crown may be necessary to cover the entire surface
instead of an inlay or onlay.) Unlike regular fillings, they strengthen
rather than weaken teeth. Inlays lie within the cusps, or bumps, on the
surface of a tooth, while onlays cover one or more cusps. They are often
placed over two visits: one in which the tooth is prepared, a temporary
filling is placed and an impression is made, and one in which the
specially constructed inlay or onlay is cemented onto the tooth. Inlays
and onlays made of composite resin or porcelain are tooth-colored, while
those made of gold alloy offer increased strength and durability.

Crowns
Crowns are used to strengthen and improve the shape, size or color of teeth. They can support broken or weak teeth or those with large fillings; provide a smooth, strong, attractively contoured surface for stained, misshapen or otherwise abnormal teeth; and aid in the implantation of bridges and other implants.

Porcelain
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a fantastic way to repair or enhance the appearance of front teeth. They can be used to whiten teeth, close spaces and create a great smile. Using veneers, we can even perform virtually "instant orthodontics" to straighten crooked teeth and give you the bright smile you always wanted.
- Reduce or Eliminate Spaces Between the Teeth
(Diastemas)
- Repair Broken or Chipped Teeth
- Whiten Dark, Yellow, Permanently-Stained or Discolored Teeth
- Correct Misshapen or Crooked Teeth

Dental
Impants
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for
teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. With dental implants, a person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat and smile with confidence. Teeth appear natural and facial contours are preserved.
Dental implants serve as the base for many types of tooth replacements. Implants can replace one tooth or several missing teeth with crowns or bridges that are fixed in place. For replacement of many teeth or all of the teeth, implants can support very secure removable dentures. Dental implants allow outstanding results in both appearance and function of replacement teeth.
The implants themselves are titanium cylinders which are inserted into the jawbone where teeth are missing and act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts are then attached to the implant which protrude through the gums. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Oral
Surgery (Wisdom Teeth & Extractions)
Wisdom Teeth (Third Molars): When they are
correctly aligned, wisdom teeth pose no threat to the mouth and may even
be helpful. Often, though, problems develop that necessitate their
removal. When the jaw is too small to accommodate the extra teeth, they
may erupt sideways (impacted), part of the way, or not at all.
Improperly erupted wisdom teeth have the potential to damage nearby
teeth, bone and roots, and invite bacterial infection, which in turn
leads to pain, swelling, jaw stiffness and other problems. Removal is swift and effective.

Invisalign
Invisalign is the easy way to improve your
smile. Invisalign is proven technology designed to give you the smile
you' ve always wanted, without the pain of metal brackets and wires.
Invisalign provides an invisable, comfortable and removable alternative. To help you get a more beautiful
smile, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to
gradually move your teeth. You wear a set for about two weeks, removing
them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each set of
aligners with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move
until they reach the desired perfect position. The majority of adults
and teens can be treated with Invisalign, especially those with crowding,
spaces, and poorly positioned teeth (crooked).

Single
Visit Root Canal (Endodontics)
Root canals can prevent tooth loss when there is damage to the soft core of the tooth (the pulp). Despite its reputation as a painful ordeal, a root canal is actually not very uncomfortable. During the procedure, the damaged pulp is removed, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off, and a crown is bonded to the tooth to maintain strength.

Periodontal
Therapy
Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease): Periodontal or gum disease, is an infection of the tissues that surround
and support your teeth. It is a leading cause of tooth loss in American
adults. It has also been linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and
other health problems. Plaque is the sticky film of bacteria that is
brushed and flossed away with proper oral care. When left on the teeth,
plaque produces toxins that attack below the gum line in the sulcus, a
shallow v-shaped crevice between the tooth and gums. This causes the
bond between teeth and gums to break down. In the early stage of gum
disease (gingivitis), gums may become red and swollen and bleed easily.
In the more advanced stage (periodontal disease), teeth can loosen and
fall out. Good oral hygiene and regular dental examinations are
essential in the prevention and early detection of gum disease -
especially since you can have it without experiencing any warning signs.
